Chef Anthony Bourdain’s Best Advice for Avid Travelers

If you look back on the dog-eared pages of your copy of Kitchen Confidential, you’ll remember Chef Anthony Bourdain’s initial advice, that included information like when not to buy seafood and what is considered “fresh.”

In a recent interview, the cook turned entrepreneur turned TV personality now advises for travelers to visit the city market even before checking into their hotel.

In Men’s Journal, Bourdain adds, “You see what’s for sale, you see what’s in season, you see the fundamental color palette of a cuisine. You really get a sense of what a culture loves most dear.”
